Islamic accounts: who publishes the cost?
The question is not 'is there an Islamic account?' — most have one. The question is: at what price?
A normal account charges interest on positions held overnight, which is riba. A swap-free account removes it — but the broker still wants paying, so it usually substitutes a fixed admin fee per lot per night after a grace period of a few days. If that fee, its start day and the excluded instruments are not published, you cannot tell whether the interest was removed or simply renamed.
Of 13 brokers offering a swap-free account, 7 do not publish the admin fee, the grace period, or the excluded instruments.
